Burning Books - The Puppet Master

Not literally although on a moral level i feel as if i have. As i am plannign on buying a kindle! I had sworn never to own one of these infernal devies, but it has occured to me it will be increadilby handing for reading all the journal articals i will need for my masters in september (BTW i'm starting a master by research in september at leeds uni in plant science).
But then i got ot thinking should i just buy an ipad or some ither ghastly tablet? that way i can read all the journal articals but also get online. I am in a moral conundrum!
